I'm on Vacation!!!

Finally after a long awaited year we are back at the cabin! Anyone related to me knows what I'm talking about. We all await our weeks in Island Park, Idaho. The only part that isn't perfect is that my sweet hubby is working like crazy in Vegas while I'm here. Everyone else except for my sister-in-law Robin is here. Even my brother Mike (who I haven't seen for 2 1/2 years) and Liam who I haven't seen for 3 years! I love family! We are so blessed to have this cabin to come and relax and make memories together. :)

Finally... a visitor!!!

My sister was driving through to Cali with my niece and I asked if Leah could just stay with me for a couple of days and she could come get her on her way back to Cedar. We had a blast!
We went swimming, got ice cream, watched movies and went to Mandalay Bay's Shark Reef Aquarium. Which was really cool by the way. We saw fish, sea turtles, sharks, jelly fish, sting rays etc. Sadly my camera died, so I don't have pics of Kalel there. I will try to download some from my phone.

Cedar City!

We were able to take a trip to Cedar City for a couple of days! It was a blast. Kalel played with Corinne's duck, geese, chickens etc. Found out what Doritos taste like, rode a tractor, sorta and watched his cousin dig in the dirt!

Bouce House!

Date night! Kyle and I went to the stratosphere after we got off work... around 11:00 pm. Kyle gets motion sickness so, afterwards we went to Denny's. It was a lot of fun!
We made an investment... a bounce house! Kalel is a really busy boy, so we thought this would help. He loves it! His favorite thing is to put the balls in the holes of the wall.

We have a climber! I turned around to find him on top of Abigail's high chair, eating her food! I don't know what to do with him!
Bulwark took us to the rides again. I hate the strip! So dirty, but the rides are fun. Kalel fell asleep, and he looks pretty funny in the pic.

Virginia Beach!

Kyle and I were lucky enough to go to Virginia Beach! He was speaking in a youth conference there and I went to help with a booth there for Personal Ponderings. Our hotel was right on the beach. This was Kalel's first time on a plane and his first time to the beach. The flight there was... interesting. We went to the airport around 7:00 am we arrived in our hotel at 4:00 am. It was a LONG day in an airport with a 1 year old! But it was worth it, it was beautiful. It was so nice to be able to spend time with Kyle. We were able to play at the beach and walk around the ocean stores. It was a much needed vacation.

Fun Fun Fun!

One morning Kyle and I were really tired and Kalel woke up way too early. So, we just let him do his thing while we slept... he found some eyeliner. I know bad idea, but I couldn't even open my eyes! Anyway, Kyle decided to finish the job. Morgan put him in the dryer. He got new sunglasses, which he loves to put on and take off. He still loves to put things in his mouth!

Introducing Lily Gene Rickenbach

I know this post is really late, but my sister gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. I was lucky enough to be able to see her just after she was born. And yes, it did make me baby hungry, but I've pretty much been that way my whole life! Anyway, Corinne and Craig had a conference here in Vegas, so they spent one night with us. I didn't get to see them or talk to them long enough but it was so good to see them. I miss my family like crazy!

Family Pics

Notice how Kyle is eating his face! Don't ask about me..
I have been waiting for 13 months to do Kalel's hair! If you look closely you can see his teeth. He is so cute! I can't believe how big he looks.

Kyle thinks this is so cheesy, I think it's cute. I think he's cute!

Funniest Home Videos???

We went swimming this morning, he was pretty tired but I wanted to rinse him off in the shower first... Then I saw a little head bobbing. (This is even better than watching my Dad sleep in church)!

Scavenger Hunt

I feel like everyday is a scavenger hunt. During the last couple of days in my hamper I have found... a pink flip flop, Kalel's tennis shoe, baby tylenol, a truck, spoon, cup, car keys, clean laundry I had just folded etc. In my cupboards... books, more shoes, a truck in my pot, keys again and the list keeps going. I said when I married Kyle that life would never be boring! And now I have a baby just like him! It is pretty funny.

Kalel loves reading. He brings me books to read to him, he will either listen to the whole thing and then get a new book and sit by me while he reads out loud (in the cutest jibberish language) or he will leave during the first book and get his own to read to himself. It is pretty dang cute!

Vegas is wonderful. The weather here is perfect (I'm sure it will be short lived). Kalel loves playing with his friend Abigail. My friend Heidi and I get together everyday. Our babies seem so much happier when they can hang out together. Kalel is teaching her the tricks of the trade. (The trade being... getting into trouble)! I still get to spend time with Kyle in the mornings and after 8:30. He is working so hard! He is a wonderful husband and a great Dad. Kalel loves him! He gets so excited when he sees him at the window. He has fun with "Uncle" Morgan too. They both throw him around and wrestle with him.
